Motorola Xoom

Motorola runs a commercial for its new Xoom tablet on the Super Bowl. It bears an uncanny resemblance to Apple's 1984 launch ad. In 1984, Apple invented a computer that didn’t work the way any other computer worked. It changed the world of computers forever. Including PCs.

Motorola, are you trying to iterate this ethos to me like, now?

PressPausePlay

The digital revolution of the last decade has unleashed creativity and talent of people in an unprecedented way, unleashing unlimited creative opportunites. But does democratized culture mean better art, film, music and literature or is true talent instead flooded and drowned in the vast digital ocean of mass culture? Is it cultural democracy or mediocrity?

This is the question addressed by PressPausePlay, a documentary film containing interviews with some of the world’s most influential creators of the digital era such as Moby, Robyn, Sean Parker and Seth Godin, among others. Directed by David Dworsky and Victor Köhler.

Marshall / Uniform Wares

Time again to part your hard-earned cash with these products. Marshall needs no introduction, experience their legacy with their new series of headphones aptly titled 'Major'. Big sound, comfy and well-designed, adhering to the amp aesthetic. Uniform Wares recently unleashed their 300 Series Wristwatch, continuing their pared down aesthetic with the addition of the chronograph.

WanderWonder Series 2

Great to see the label coming on strong, WanderWonder's next collection is now out. In the coming months, I'll be collaborating with them on a series of new merchandise so do watch out for this space.

WW is available at the following retailers: Black Market, Hide&Seek and the upcoming PARCO Marina Bay. Support homegrown labels not because they're local but because they're good.

+ - 10

A new year, a new vision, a new set of responsibilities. Meanwhile, I'm happy to participate as one of the ten designers in 'Plus Minus Ten', an exhibition celebrating Dieter Ram's ten principles for good design. Curated by the folks at Anonymous. Coincidently, the creative team here were tasked to design posters for an auction event on any theme. This is one of the two pieces I created, in light of Dieter's ten principles. The proceeds will go to charity. If anyone out there would love tho reproduce this artwork and put it up for sale, please do not hesitate to contact me.
